    Hello again

most is well with my gs 340. however, I have a few questiones....first, i have a idle issue... it is very noticable when i am in drive stopped at a light or something. the best way I can describe it is the car will idle fine and then all of a sudden (jolt or sputter a couple of times) and then good idle and then do it again... I have checked the obvious. I have put new plugs, gapped properly. new points, cap, and rotor, i set the timing to 2 1/2 btc per the specs.

when i accelerate it drives great but at the idle it can be very annoying.

next ?? is what is the proper way to set the carter carb... I have used a vacum guage and peaked it at 21-22... is this right? i noticed the left mix screw effects more than the right screw.

last? should the timing be at 2 1/2btc or should it be set higher

    any help thanks

For timing, try using a vacum gauge and advance timing until maximum vacum is achieved, then retard it 2 or so pounds of vacuum.
