What rear gears are you planning? Probably an automatic, You will need a converter.
My Block is GS Riviera (30 over) ......my heads are aluminum stage one TA performance.......ta performance headers .... carb it's 750 Edelbrock....... HEI distributor...... edelbrock manifold performer....stock posi rear end.... stock trans .... and I'm thinking the TA 290–9 4H cam........ has anybody run this combination and how did they like it what changes would you make if any thanks for your input

Rudy, do you know what you compression you have or is it a stock block and rotating assembly with no changes? I think most of the stock carbs were 800 cfm or larger. I would want an 800 to 850 for sure. Are you running the stock manifolds or headers of some kind?

I run a cam very similar in my convertible with SP1 intake and a modified Quadrajet (my specialty Quadrazilla)
The factory Quadrajet was 800 cfm rated and would flow about 830. The edelbrock carbs have a reverse fuel curve and can become dangerously lean at sustained rpm on big Buicks.
