Hello all,
First, sorry for my english,
I want to check the adjustment of the low band of my super turbine 300 on my skylark 1966.
Because I imagine it is a good thing to control this occasionally.
I do not always well understand the english text of the manual shop.
Here is what I understand:
In the manual shop they explain that:
- first remove the adjusting screw cap ( no problem )
- then adjust low band by first tightening adjusting screw ( allen ? ) to 40 in.lbs. torque.
( I imagine I must unlock the "lock nut" before ?! )
- then "back off" band adjusting screw ( Allen ? ) four turns and lock nut.
( I imagine I turn four turns CCW the allen screw after the right torque and lock the "lock nut" without moving the allen wrench ? )
That's all ? Don't hesitate to give me your experience in this job : )
Best regards to all

Loosen the lock-nut. Then while holding the lock-nut tighten the allen screw CW to the 40 inch pounds, also counting/noting the number of turns it takes to tighten the lock-nut to the proper setting. (If the screw will not go the complete number of 4 turns to tighten to the 40 inch pds. then back it off to it's original position & leave it there.) Then back off the allen screw CCW 4 turns as stated. Hold the allen to keep the screw from turning & tighten the lock-nut. Job done. Understand???
