Thread: distributor hold down

    distributor hold down

    Any one know where i can purchase the correct hold down for a 67- 340 motor distributor, im not sure what other ones out there would fit this, any help would be great. thanks

    Hey there... You might want to post an add in the "Parts wanted section" on V8 Buick, there is a lot of traffic there...

    Distributor Hold Down

    All 300, 340, 350 distributors use the same hold down and bolt. If you have a self serve salvage yard near you I would just go and pull one. The small block Buick was in production until 76' I believe. The other thing you might want to check on yours is the distributor drive gear and the fuel pump eccentric. If they are worn grab those too while your at it since there is not a source that I am aware for a new one.
