I would use the Buick 350. The trans and car are set up for the 350 are they not? If this is a good running 350 then just have the heads ported and valve jobs done. MIll the heads 70 thou and get adjustable pushrods from TA. Then add a mild TA 212 cam kit, new timing set, and a rebuilt Q jet carb. You can run the manifolds on a street car but be sure to use good 2.5" duals. If running at the track then the headers will give some added power.
Keep in mind the chevy 350 block will require a trans. adapter plate to work if you do not have a multi pattern trans. You would also have to use mounts and most likely frame pads for a GM car the same year as yours that did come with a SBC engine. Wiring mods will have to be done using the Chevy engine as well.
