i have a chevy 350 that came out of an 69 impala, trying to put it in my 67 skylark. I noticed when trying to put it in that motor mount location was differint from the original 340!
my question is do i need custom motor mounts? And if they do where would i get them?

hey thanks for info, i talked to a buddy of mine and said they make a spacer that makes the chevy 350 motor fit the buick 340 motor, TRUE?
they make a spacer that makes the chevy 350 motor fit the buick 340 motor, TRUE? you mean a trans adapter? yes they do.
it might be easier to just take the trans from the Impala though.
if you're talking about engine mounts you can fabricate your own solids with a welder...

you're doing it wrong.
Buick people tend to be kind of twitchy about Chev engines in a Buick engine bay.
but in order to do the swap properly you'd probably need to get engine mounts and pads for a 67 Malibu or Chevelle.

I,m still keeping my 340 for you hard corps buick fans. I have the trans adapter, but did you have the use the chevelle motor mounts?
I have a Chevy with a Buick nailhead in it, so one for the good side.
