My good old 300 is approaching rebuild time after 25 years in my service. (See my thread "Overheating 300"). I just tore down a '72 350 (Buick, of course) that I'll do a low budget rebuild on, and have ready to swap in. (It was left outside by the previous owner and has rust in the cylinder walls but is otherwise ok. smallest overbore should do it).

Springs: I know the swap is pretty straight forward, but my front springs are allready sagging, and the 350 is heavier, so how do I specify the new front springs? Should I buy springs for a 1965 GS? I want a stock looking stance.

Headers: Poston and TA Perf. both have headers for the 350 Buick SB (they look remarkably alike ) but claim the don't fit 64-67 Skylarks with 350's. Does anybody know how hard they are to modify, in order to clear whatever is in the way?
