I have a 1960 buick with a 1 bbl CARTER CARB....I was wondering could I upgrade to an Edellbrock carb and if so which one...I would like to do this without replacing the manifolds

I'm pretty sure that's going to be a 2 barrel Carter...don't think there were any 1 barrel Buicks in '60. You could put on an E-brock, but you'd have to 1) find a 4 barrel to 2 barrel manifold adaptor that may or may not fit under your hood, or 2) pick up a 4 barrel manifold for your engine. If this engine is a 364/401, you'll have to find an intake for that engine. You may want to post this in the Nailhead section because the 215/300/340/350 family wasn't around in '60.
