Static drop on 1963 electra options

Ok guys I'm looking to lower my 63 Electra and what options are available. Cutting Springs is out of the question one because this is my family hauler so it needs to be a nice ride and cause of the pigtail. Now jamco makes lowering Springs but there heavy on the pockets at $500 shipped plus customer service is iffy at best. I'm looking for about a 3" drop hopefully, now just like on my 49 I know there has to be a "stock" spring that we can utilize. Years ago I remeber reading that someone found the spring rate to be the same on caprice Springs I don't know what year though. Does anybody have any info about this?

Thanks!

Street Stock class circle track cars are based primarily on GM A body cars, they use custom springs all the time. the only problem might be that you can't find springs soft enough.

another option, if you don't mind cutting the car up, is installing spring buckets. then you can wedge the car to any ride height you want.

if you don't want to go either of those routes, i'd just go down to NAPA and ask them to look up springs in a parts book. they should have a cross reference for springs by dimension and rate.
