My '52 came with an older-style Auto Serv tissue dispenser - the kind that "rocks forward" to dispense out the top. Uses a 10" x 4 3/4" by 2" tissue box.
Haven't found any recent tissue boxes that size!
The old, empty box I do have is pretty dilapidated, so just refilling the old, dusty, torn-up box isn't a great option.
What do y'all do? Cram a commercial tissue box into the holder? Tap a super-secret stash of OEM Kleenex boxes? Just toss a soft-pack in the holder and run with it?
Closest thing I've found, just looking at package dimensions, is called "Kleenex Spacesaver". Looks to be 9.9" x 4.9" by about 1 3/4", which MIGHT work, even if it sticks out the rear a little, and leaves a gap at the top. Trouble is, the smallest I find are 5-packs, so if it's not right...Well, I suppose we'll always have use for facial tissues.
Anyone have any other (good?) alternatives?
