anybody know how to check the operation of this windshield washer switch while it's in the car, and if it's something worth having? did they ever work right?

also i'm getting all kinds of crazy things going on with my fuel gauge when i turn on the turn signals, and especially the brights. it goes from E to F back and forth constantly.

any help on what to do with that is appreciated.
 
had a ground wire to the wrong post on the fuel gauge. whoops! then fried a circuit path and had to replace, refreshed all the pins on the back of the panel. that fixed everything except there was still just a slight motion on the gauge when i turned on the turn sigs, and a ground refresh from the block to the firewall, sanding the paint off this time, fixed everything.
