how to remove headlight switch

hey guys/girls..........need to know how to remove the headlight switch from a 57 buick century......need to chk it out.....headlights don't come on but interior and dash lights do......tailights work as well as brake lights,pkg lights and turn signals.........so what gives?..... apprec. the help, thanks!,,,,blvd cruiser

I would 1st. check the dimmer switch & wiring before I pulled apart the headlight switch.

reaching under dash to the headlight switch and depressing the small release button at the top of the switch while pulling on the stem for the switch then unplug the wire harness.
