Hey all,
I am having a leaky Exhaust manifold problem on my 68' LeSabre. I seemed to have bottomed out on a serious speed bump and it hit hard enough to crack open the manifold from the block. I checkedfor leaks with soapy water and the bubbles come from the seam in the maifold to the block. So fortunatly all I have to do is put gaskets in. But my question is what it's a the best way to cracking these studs with out them breaking off on the block? I got 2 cracked loose. But I have to lift the motor to get at the rest.
Scared to touch this one,
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I would usually use a torch with a welding tip on it for fine jobs like that. Heat the nut, or the whole assembely nice and red to break down the rust and spin it off.
