if you're having the block redone anyways, you should check out one of the threads on oil modifications. that's really not performance related, but you're not going to be very happy if the engine blows up after you spend a bunch of money on this.
is this a Buick shop? ie - do they have experience with the turbo 6 / big block or Rover v8? what are they going to set the bearing clearances at? Buicks do NOT like the large clearances that normally get used for Chevy rebuilds.
