Still no juice(electricity), it's turning over slow, but the oil filter is no longer the problem. I don't know what the problem is. My grandfather is going to check the timing chain in the morning by removing the fuel pump and inserting a finger. He says my lack of knowledge about the motor is a problem.

A project came before this one. It was posed to be easy. Easy task take a hole week. 88 Chevy 305 to 350. 305 knocked but ran as long as it had gas. Close to finish now just needs manifold. I don't like the repair process of cars. I got bushing in the mail today for my skylark. Maybe put them in gotta get away from. These junk cars.

hey now, working on old iron is half the fun.

the problem is that you just may as well up and replace all of the "consumables" ( seals, gaskets, bearings, bushings etc ) if you really want the thing to work well for an extended time.

you gotta remember, these parts are all +50 years old now. nobody designs automobiles to run that long.

Sure your right. I just wanted to work on the Buick. This weekend I might end up replacing the timing chain in search of a spark. This barnfind had wool like debris in the torque inverter cover.
