    Rocker arm conversion

Has anyone converted a 350ci cast aluminum rocker arm system to the 3rd generation stamped steel
rockers w/pushrod oiling. If so, where/how did you plug the oil gallery to the rocker shaft?

    Thanks

i could have sworn that Yardley described doing this to a 455 on his Riv page ... but Java seems to be throwing me problems and i can't read or access the hot links he has at the top of the page now.

here's a page on a 350 buildup, although they aren't doing the rocker shaft-to-pushrod swap

    Rocker Arm Conversion

Appreciate the assist. Will check it out. Except for plugging the oil gallery to the front of the Rocker Shaft,
it appears less expensive to upgrade to the stamped steel rockers than to get the existing assemblies refurbished.

    Thanks

With the big buicks, I have just drilled the hole for a pipe plug. A pipe plug is a common and dependable way to end an drilled oil passage.

Where was the pipe plug installed - in the head or in the block?

I contacted "AmpMike" and he said he's done it on a 430ci motor but in the block when the engine was disassembled.
I have no plans to disassemble the engine anytime soon and thus thought about perhaps blocking off the oil gallery at
the top of the cylinder head where it comes up to flow into the rocker shaft but now that doesn't appear to be a good way
    to do it
