I block the back power valve, and compensate with larger jets in rear with jet extensions. I don't remember which pv I have in front, but you might want to go back to 3.5 or higher to make sure it doesn't open at idle.
Ok so i just got my new engine started. 11.1 ross pistons ta308s camshaft sound great however its super rich at idle i have 2.5 power valves in the front and rear do need the 1.0 or do i need to block em off all together this is my first sold lifter cam and i did expect less vacum then my last hydraulic which ran great with 3.5 pv's i have the 80514 carb thanks for any help oh yeah auto trans 411gears 4000 stall sp intake, ported and polished iron stg 1 heads

thanks ill give that a shot tonite just ordered up some poerw valve plugs
just too let you know i checke the vacum first had a whoping 1" of vacum so i plugged the front and the rear upped the jet sizes 6 each and that seamed to do it. off to the track tomorrow nite to test
