    69 GS 350 to 455 engine swap

I have a 69 GS California that has a 350 engine in it. I found a 1970 stage 1 455 motor and TH400 trans that i want to put in the car. Will i need to change the motor mounts and if so where could i find motor mounts for this swap? What other problems might i run into?

so this is a 2dr post car?

where could i find motor mounts for this swap?

i think any standard A-body Buick Big Block mounts will work but the Cali GS should be a base v6 car so i'm not certain about that. the base v6 might have a different front x-member.

the engines are different heights so the fan shroud will have to be replaced with a BBB model. if you've got the intake snorkels for the hood you'll have to shave off some foam to get them to match up.

of course, you're going to have to slide the trans x-member back and drill new holes in the frame.

You will need to change the yoke on the driveshaft to the larger TH 400 size. The yoke should not be that hard to find. I believe it takes the same u-joint.

yes its a 2 door post, but the california cars came with the GS350 and Ram Air hood on them. I hope the 455 is the answer to my lack of power situation
