    muti key timing option

wondering, i have a poston gs116a cam in my 1973 455,stock low compression,bore.60 over b4b intake, i just got my ta performance billet timing set.should i install it straight up dot to dot on the sprokets, just like replacing a stock set?because i read poston cams are already advanced 4 degrees.and the keyed lower gear is for non-degreed cams for specific custom performance purpose.

    Multi Key Timing Gear ....

I would think if you can't degree the cam in @ this time .... there should be no problem installing it straight up by the timing marks. I have had a couple of these cams & they were both installed straight up by the marks & they ran very well.

    Good Luck, ick

    Cam setup

You can put it together and it will work, dot to dot. The "dots" are not all that reliable, so you won't know what your actual cam timing is, but maybe that won't matter to you. For a stock rebuild, it would be fine. If it's a stock rebuild, you wasted a bunch of extra dough on a fancy timing chain - you would be fine with a stock "made in the east" timing set.

For what you're doing, I'd say don't be lazy - degree the cam!

    multi key timing option

i hear what your saying about wasted xtra dollars, could not use the stock timing set because my block mains had been line bored, which makes the stock rebuild kit timing set real loose, enough to eat up the cover,so i had to order a no 8 set from ta performance the only supplier for this size part.and i handled the degree last month, and my 60 over, with stage 1 cam 455 is running like a jewel.now.thanks.. alot of things dont go as cheap as one hopes.100 + was well worth it now that its done.
