buick chevy engine swap

i took my406 and th350 out of my 74caprice and droped in my 82 buickpark ave.will the dive shaft fit?they say i have to cut it;and should i drill new holes for a motor mounts, cause i can't get both side to line up.... any info would help

Not all Chevy frame mounts are the same. Chevy engines were available in '82 Park Ave's. You may need to find a set of later ones. Just drilling new holes for your existing ones may not put the engine in the right location. If both cars had th350's in them and they both have the same tailshaft housing length I'd say it should fit without cutting the driveshaft. If the '82 did not have a th350 and it's possible, I think, that it didn't you may have to make modifications.
