I would say no as they are installed on the backside of the cover,better off pulling the cover and throwing in a updated Neoprene seal anyway from TA Performance and maybe a new roller timing chain why you were at it for assurance and a new waterpump if it has not been replaced recently...........

Yeah, I figured if I have to take it off, I'll be doing more stuff including the updated front seal.

Yes, if you have the improved TA Performance cover but no if the cover is stock. If you must remove it be careful with the bolts as they can be broken. Also inspect the cover for wear. It may be in need of replacing. Also it is a good time to repalce the water pump.
