Tilt Steering Column (Buick?)

Had to Join this forum as i need to pick the brains of my fellow Buick experts....I am a Pontiac guy and picked up this NOS, yes NOS brand new tilt steering column a few years back that was sold to that it would fit my 67 Pontiacs. Unfortunately it does not. It came in its original box and has a part number listed on it 5698645. I believe it is a 67-68 Buick part but not certain as i don't have any Buick parts books. I have looked every where for a reference. I was hoping someone from the Buick forums possibly could identify this item, what does it fit and all. Any help would be so much appreciated. Please use and check the GM Part number provided. Pictures attached. IMG_0243.JPEG

Wouldnt it just be easier to include the specs for points of installation and measurements of the column? If you are trying to sell it why would it matter who needs it? Identify the pitch thread size of the column where the steering wheel goes on. Show the turning cam, connector. Include rag joint connection dimensions. Reality is there is a larger group of buyers than you expect that dont have books either.

Thanks for the advice, but any help to substantiate via parts book would be great! Its very similar to my 67 Bonneville columns, shaft length 32" which was standard on most GM's that year, including attachment to under the dash, key differences are the end transmission shift attachment and Shift sleeve. From other pictures that I have found, i believe it fits 67-68 Full Size Buicks, LaSabre, Wildcats and perhaps even Electra. Don't have plans to sell it right now.

We do have a fantastic library on this site you could spend time looking through the workshop manuals available to all members. Plenty of images to look at.

Doesn't mean anything, but I spent some time looking for 5698645 in the '68 Parts Book, but failed to find it.
