Convertible top Vacuum Switch for - Convertible top Vacuum Switch for

Convertible top Vacuum Switch for 41 Super. I fear that the body of my switch is all that is salvageable. If you know of someone who has a NOS switch or someone who rebuilds using my exiting valve body, and knob, I am eager to find them. If you have a proven operational valve to sell, please call me M : 972-754-0344.

That is a rather tough bit to come by. You might do well trying to locate an example for similar era GM cars, there might be some interchangeability there. It took me five years to find one at a swap meet, and its condition is a bit dubious too. I haven't really looked it over to see if I can rebuild it easily, so you and I are in pretty much the same situation... sorry, no easy answers.

On some pump or vacuum assemblies, it may have a leather piston that will dry out over time. A maintenance task is to spray some lube, could be Lexol, WD40, Silicone spray, Armor-all, which would cause the leather piston cup to swell therefore sealing and back to holding pump or vacuum. If this is not your case, then can you show the part that you need, old diaphragm, etc.? Provide clear images of both sides and include all pieces. If you can not take apart, show different angles of the part so I can see method to service it.

GL03 makes a good point. I suspect even a NOS switch (or is it valve?) would probably have the same issues if that is how they are made. Thanks for the tip... I was imagining a rubber O-ring in there, but this might very well not be the case. Live and learn.
