1972 buick skylark tires question

I was wondering what's the widest tires I can put in the rear of my 72 skylark without rubbing ? Will 285's fit back there ? And if so we're can I buy rims/tire combo online ?

The 70-72 Skylark/GS have very large wheel wells. The optional tire was a G60-15. The P metric equivalent is P245/60R-15. A P275/60R-15 will fit easily. You will want a 15 X 8" wheel with 4 1/2" back spacing. Wheel Vintiques makes a Buick factory chrome wheel like that. You can buy them from Jegs or Sumitt Racing.
