1956 Buick Special Riviera

General Information

I bought this in Feb 2020, it had been restored by a father/son team about 10 yrs ago. Interior has been replaced, instrument panel rebuilt, power front disc brakes, electric windshield wipers w/ intermittent feature, generator replaced with alternator, electronic ignition, low profile Continental tires on 17” American Racing Torq Thrust rims. I have the non-working original AM radio w/attached speaker, I just replaced it with a Craig AM/FM/8 track 4 speaker stereo. Everything works except horn and odometer. Engine runs good, but lacks power...I know it is not a speed machine, but it seems like it could do better...
Car was left outside for several years after the dad passed away, so the clearcoat has bubbled and has a white appearance. The steering linkage is loose, needs tie rods, but I can’t find replacements.
Any suggestions on repairing the paint, horn, and steering linkage parts would be helpful.
I want to be able to cruise and go to car shows this summer in Western Montana.
