    Leaking waterpump?

Thanks Bob, it is still leaking, so I will have to get it off. I have the 51 manual inprint, but this seems to provide more info. Thanks. I saw that a new one is about 160. But shipping to europe is expensive. Oh well. Will start to take it off. Can that be done without removing the radiator...

    Leaking waterpump?

Hi All, At last I started to fill the coolingsystem. It has been 12 years or so since the engine and the waterpump were revised. After some leakage at pipe joints (simple) a more serieus leaking started. It dripped fast from the corner of the oil pan and came from the waterpump. I think from...

Thanks Tom, Will check if it is for sale here in the Netherlands. Seems usefull. I wanted something as a super grease. Is is also Blue? It is not the stuff that is blue and specifically for brake assembly? Groeten Duco PS: did some research: there are many high quality greases for ball bearing...

revised engine hard to turn over

Hi Jenz, Yes that is a good old Dutch name! RE your explanation. I wonder, I have all the classic stuff which I bought around 2005. I had the impression that it was all good (NOS). I hope to first start my engine in next spring. I will keep the pertronics set up in mind. Any advice on that...

Hi Jenz, I wonder what the name of your son is? I was born and raised near the coast but now live near the german border. I have the orginal distribution set up. The parts do not seem chinese, but I will take your warning at hart and make sure they work fine. Currently not much time for the...

revised engine hard to turn over

Hi Jenz, I am near Zutphen, just above Arnhem. It cranks over ok now. I used my manual rod and put oil in. I can now also crank it with the plugs in. With te new battery I should be ok. And as you said, I can also use a 12 Volt set up. I will then take all other fuses out of the system. I...

    52 head in a 53

Yes Bob, you are right. I wanted the line for the filter directly after the pump and blocked the one further in the rail ( as can be seen in the picture) also I found that it was better to measure pressure after the filter. I also do not think it matters much. as long as the oil is delivered to...

    52 head in a 53

Hi Frank, This may help. My filter is on the bulkhead , but basically the oil line comes from under the dizzy (next to oilpump), goes up in the filter (stamped "line in"), comes out at bottum and goes into head at front. There are many pictures on the net. I figured this out. Hope it helps . See...

revised engine hard to turn over

Update: bought a stronger battery in the end ( 140AH, 900cca). Much improvement. But also made a 2 piece manual cranking rod with a pretty large diameter. Used it a bit and now the engine moves better. Did not start the engine as yet, as I am working on other things. Met groeten Duco
