This shop manual furnishes all service information on 1948 AND 1949 model Buicks shown above.. The information applies equally to all models of both years except where a difference is indicated by specifying a particular model or series.
A summary of the features which are new for 1949 is given on page 0-6 for quick reference.
This manual does not give service information on Dynaflow Drive except for external adjustments which affect the servicing of other units. Complete information on Dynaflow Drive is given separately in the "1948 Buick Dynaflow transmission Service Manual" (B.P.S. 1.30).
ATTENTION IS DIRECTED TO THE INTRODUCTION on page 0-1 which describes the arrangement of this manual and how it should be used to locate desired information.
For complete service information, reference also should be made to B.P.S. bulletins which are issued to authorized dealers whenever product changes are made or supplementary service information seems necessary.
