As shown in the illustration the transmission can be identified by either the metal tag or the stamping on the low servo cover. The metal tag is used on all 1964 and early 1965 units. For later 1965 and all 1966-69 the data is stamped on the low servo cover. The identification data includes the year of production, code letters or numbers followed by the transmission serial number.
