Is this with the car on the ground ? or is the diff. hanging down or on jack stands ?
I got the tranny in the car and hooked up the driveshaft--my question is how much of the spline surface on the yoke--- in length should there be on the tranny spline. I have noticed the spline doesn`t start at the top of the yoke but about 2 inches down----so I have about 1 3/4 inches of the yoke sticking out the end of the tranny, that only gives about an inch where the splines line up--is that enough??? It seems a little sloppy about a 1/8 inch when you push up on the yoke. Are there other 400 yokes that have the splines all the way to the top? Thanks!

This is the measurements with the car on the ground---things change when you modify---maybe the shaft should be a tad longer?? Have to wait and see how it drives.
I've always heard at the very least 2 inches but if your putting power to the, more is always better. I have it it an article somewhere. I'll look for it.
