Hi All,
The other day while I was driving to get lunch, a 65 Gran Sport went by. I could see the guy driving was an old gentleman. We happened to be traveling in the same direction and I enjoyed checking out the car. I was impressed with his driving, he went around every pothole in the road and drove very slow. I thought to myself as I followed him , how I would love to own his car. I had a 64 convertible skylark that I sold when we bought our first home and regretted it ever since. So I decided i would follow him till he pulled over and talk to him. Turns out he inherited the car from his Dad, he says its all original, numbers matching, very straight. I didnt get to look real close but he took my number and said he would call me with his asking price. It looks all there, spinner hubcaps. Its a coupe, burgundy with a white painted top and white interior. He mentioned 2 4,s....I'm thinking 2 4bbls.
What do you think?
Dave
I'd say between 12 and 25K depending on condition and how recently the drive train has been rebuilt. These did not come from the factory with 2x4s. Be carful of originality. The 65 GS is the most difficult to prove as original as it shared the vin with the V8 Skylark (300 engine).
