Do you have an evacuation system?

If so, and you know how to use it, then you won't need us to tell you directions.

If not, then you need to bring it to a mechanic who is certified for AC work

Also, don't forget that if your compressor died, there might be junk in the lines that need to be cleaned. The mechanic can take care of this too. If you don't address that, you might ruin your new compressor quickly.

I have to agree with Bob , replacing the A/C compressor requires more knowledge and tools than just basic do-it-yourself repairs . It is expensive if done poorly and the sys. is under high pressure and can be very dangerous and will need to be upgraded to the new refrigerant . Just My 2c .

    Unhappy too late

too late I have already started. So far it been hard but I think I can finish. I also have a friend that can help with the refrigerant part and to flush the lines. but it will probley take a few days and alot of back tracking for I am by far no proffesional. What kind of oil do i put in the ac compressor?

You should have the r-134 ref. and you use PAG oil for that sys. Unless it's the r-12 and if it is, now would be the time to convert to R-134 ref. HTH

    Cool Times.

Change the Orifice and make sure to draw a vacuum on the system before you charge it. Use a R134 conversion kit. Note:Changing the PAG oil is a good idea.
