    Question Re: Valley Cover Gasket

    Hey Fellow Buick Nailhead Enthusiasts!

    Just for Laughs and Giggles!

Does any Members know a part number for a Fel-Pro Gasket for a Valley Cover on a 322 Nailhead?

I have tried to research this but it might be listed in another category or heading or listed as some OTHER Part Name or Classification.

Any/ and ALL HELP! will be Greatly Appreciated.

Thanking YOU for Your usual Valued Cooperation in Advance

    Regards,

I went to the local NAPA store today and tried to order a valley cover gasket for my 401 ,even looked in the gasket book myself . There was no seperate listing for this gasket .I have ordered the intake gaskets ,Walt the Napa guy says he thinks the valley cover gasket may come with them .Will let you know when they come in .

Thumbs up Re: Valley Cover Gasket

    Hey Tom

    Thanks for the reply!

I will take a shot at it.

I have tried to research the part on both Napa's and Fel-Pro's website and came up empty No such part as discribed. Not many motors have a valley cover and I was wondering if it is listed under a different name or description.

I had ordered a Fel-Pro gasket set, but the Valley Pan Gasket was not included

I have a Napa and an Independent source that I have been dealing with for 25 years (my Son worked there part time and I get an Employee-Family Discount) and they bend over backwards to HELP! me out.

I try to research what-ever parts I can to make it easy on them, since I get such a good discount

You know the looks that you can get (Here He Cames again) when the counter man spends 15 minuutes looking up an obsolite 6 dollar part

Tom , I didn't get the E-mail about the "demise"

What is that about? Now You have gotten me interested what have I missed?

    Thanks Again,

    Regards,

    Tom Gallagher

    Question Re: Valley Pan Gasket

    Hey Rocky,

    How Youse, Doin?

    Thanks for the reply!

I have tried both Napa and Fel-pro web sites and come up with zilch, nothing, nada as far as a part number.

I ordered a gasket kit and no Valley cover gasket. I ot everything else.

It didn't come in the box with the intake gaskets or seperatly.

the kit also included the 2 water cross-over gaskets and a Fuel Pump and Termostate gasket (real small)

Intreseted to see what you come up with.

Let me know how you make out.

    Regards,

    Tom Gallagher

Tom, the part number for the "pushrod cover" gasket is: Felpro #PS11407R

    NAPA, which is Victor-Reinz, #PS38525

Resent the PM, Did you get it????

well I recieved the intake gaskets and no gasket for the valley cover . I see Tom T. has come up with some numbers which Tom G. and I are really glad to see.I have a new question . When I removed the Lifter galley cover I noticed that the holes that the lifters are in seem to be uneven in the casting . Is this normal or should I be conserned? It looks like it came from the factory this way. What do you advise?
    Rocky
    PS Thanks again TomT.

    Valley Cover Gasket

Hi Tom, it appears the gasket for the 264/322 is a different size than the 364/401/425. The part number from Fel-Pro, PS11407R, is listed only for the larger engines. The gasket for the smaller engines is not packaged separately according to Fel-Pro and Corteco. Thanks, Gary in N.Y.
