Hi I'm new to the forum and have a question about my 1985 Park Ave. On left turns only, the signals won't cancel after the turn is complete...works normally during right turns. Is this the dreaded plastic cancelling cam that requires a special lockplate puller to do....How hard is it actually to perform this repair. Any help is appreciated.
Jeff
The spring is broken in the turn signal switch , you can buy it at the dealer or pep-boys auto parts ,etc, and yes you will need to remove the steering wheel & lock plate . Parts are less 10$ HTH Guyopel Also you do not have to remove the turn signal switch to replace the springs ( there are two of them )
