    4bb carb.

i am installing a 4bb carb on my 61 364 leasbre. the carb has a elec, choke. how can i wire this in and where too or can i change the choke to an auto choke. the carb is a holley P-80 (?)

It should be from the switched +12v ignition lead.

Sort of. It should be switched so it comes on with the ignition, it should run through an oil pressure switch so it is disabled when the key is on, but the engine isn't running.

DO NOT use the resistor wire that powers the coil as a power source. Go back to the fuse block and route the wire to the ignition fuse.

"or can i change the choke to an auto choke" An electric choke IS an automatic choke.

    I don't know what a Holley P-80 is.

I know it shouldn't be the resistance coil wire, But i have the same guy's question then:

shouldn't it be from a source that gives 12V when the ignition is on (and engine running)? I wasn't talking about the 12V acc switch.
