I set my timing the best I could on my 1971 455 powered Electra 225. Despite all my carefulness the wrench would knock it out by about 2* BTDC. So after 5 trys I figure thats it. Would that cause my carb to not fuction right? It sounds like it really is sucking the air in at times, and not as much other times. My "butt dyno" leads me to this conclusion too. At about the same throttle spot, gear and speeds. Or is this a bug in my throttle linkage and or carb tuning?

Please for give my spelling, and gramar. Any thoughts are helpful.
