Help! My 96 Regal has a coolant leak either behind or under the water pump but I cannot locate the leak[s].The coolant was a quart low before the problem but I topped the coolant and the leaks started! The temp guage never got over half way nor did the car ever overheat: the oil dipstick shows no wateror antifreeze.Any ideas? Is there a line under the pump which I cannot see or did the water pump go out? The pump is quiet,by the way. Thanks for any help!

on that model there is a water line fitting that goes into the block just above the water pump, it is likely still the plastic factory fitting and is broken. you will need to drain the water, remove the alternator and rad overflow for access, and replace it, but be sure to use a steel fitting and some good quality thread sealant.
