How can I turn off my headlights at night when the car is running, but I need the lights off?

    Thanks!

try using the parking brake, if you only put it on the first notch, you should be able to drive without causing the brakes to rub.
if that doesn't work, then other than pulling a relay or fuse, you can't shut them off.

That seems like a kind of stupid way to design that system.

yes it's stupid. no, i won't buy ANY car so equipped.

pull the cover on your fuse box. normally,on the back of that cover there's a diagram that tells you what each fuse does. most vehicles equipped with DRLs have that function isolated by itself on one fuse ... so you can pull that fuse, turning your DRLs off and it won't affect anything else.

Just curious why anyone would want to disable them ? I went as far as getting the GM kit to install them on my Wife's Riviera.
