Thread: which tranny can i use

    I'm putting a 350 engine in my 65 special ,and
    I would like to know is what trans will work?

    You can use just about any non-electronic GM transmission. The actual transmission you pick will also need to have the right bolt pattern on the bellhousing. If you're using a chevy 350, make sure you use a chevy bellhousing pattern. Buick, Olds, and Pontiac have a different pattern from chevy, but are interchangeable between the other brands (make sense?)
    As for the actual transmission type, that depends on what you're using the car for (weekend cruiser, highway, racing).
