Thread: 3.8 V6 Firebird Engine transplant

    Question

I don't know if anyone is able to help me on this. I recently acquired a 2002 Firebird 3.8 (90 degree) V6 motor to install in a Toyota. The V6 was originally coupled to an automatic transmission. I cannot seem to find anyone who can fill me in on whether this is a "Buick" or not. I am needing to know what manual transmission bellhousing and flywheel will fit this. I have seen several posts that would indicate someone reading your posts might be able to supply this information.

your motor is NOT a buick motor. It's a GM corporate motor, and any bellhousing from any 3.8 rear wheel drive application will bolt up to it. as for flywheels, the only manual flywheels which will fit would come from firebirds and camaros of that year.
