Thread: 67 Skylark electrical problems

    well i finally got my skylark home YAY! but now i have a problem, it seems that i have no power to any of the car. im really bad with electrical stuff, so if anyone has any insight to the situation it would be greatly appreciated. let me know if you need specifics.

    Are you sure the battery isn't dead ?

    Try another battery if you have one, or put a charger on the existing one for awhile, then try it. or take your battery out and carry it to your local Auto parts store most of them check them out for free.

    no power at all. i've tried 3 different batteries and replaced the cables still nothing.

    clean and check your ground wires: battery to block, block to chassis. confirm that you have power to the coil.

    Check the fuseable links at the starter there should be two a 30 amp link for the body and a 20 amp link for the headlights. there should be battery voltage at the red wire on the alt.
