Engine Swap

I got a 63 buick skylark 215 v8 original engine. I'm tired of throwing money in to this engine hard to find parts and expensive and thinking about putting in a chevy 4.6 w/ trany. I need help in suggesting a newer model engine to fit this engine compartment.Will this 4.3L have enough oil pan clearance from the steering link crossbar?What other modificatons will be needed?
Has anyone swapped out this engine?

I didn't realise the skylark had the 215. My 61Special has the 215 also.

I don't mean to be rude but what is costing so much to throw at your engine. I've found that most external parts aren't too pricey. Paid only $30 for a brand new fuel pump, $65 to have the starter rebuilt to new...

You must mean internal parts???
