Hello Tom,
I'll call around & see if anyone down here has the regulator.I'm going to take judd's advice, and stick with Delco.I'll let you know if I come up with anything worth pursuing.

Hey Iddie,

Thanks for Your Valued effort! I appreciate yor kind jesture.

I whole heartilly agree that the Delco Remy Part# is 1119003 is definitely the way to go. I also want to get a Delco-Remy Starter Solenoid Part # 1116878

Most of the Repops are probably jap junk

Thanks!

The motor is held up till Egge gets some valves to my machinist ( two weeks maybe)so he can get the valve spring hight. Carman need the valve spring hight to see what springs I need and that will tell what cam I can run. The motor is bored out and block is done, rods are done, crank is done, and I have the rebuilt oil pump here with the Offy high pressure spring installed. I got a second set of exhaust manifolds off e-bay so I can drive the car while the hot jet coaters have the manifolds.

Hey Tom,
I called a few places today, but didn't have too much luck.A Delco dealer said the voltage regulator # 1119003 was good but he didn't stock it.He said he would contact Atlanta to see if they had it.He told me the Delco # 1116878 was not the solenoid. He said it may be the housing, and as you know,I don't have the expertise to go in to depth on these matters .I'll search again tomorrow.

Thanks, Iddie.

I looked up the solenoid# in my parts book. It gave numbers for each of the components spring plunger, insulator, even the nuts ect but not for a replacemect solenoid.
Switch, cranking motor solenoid Delco-Remy #1119760
I just cross referenced the part # with cars and 1119760 is a good #
I even looked at the original no numbers but it looks like there is a metal housing andthere must be a kit that replaces the electrical componebts inside.

I appreciate your efforts.

Thanks a bunch,

Hey Tom,
I haven't had much success in finding anything Delco.I found a regulator, but it was not Delco, and the guy wanted $47.04.
Bob's Automobilia 805 434 2963 claims to have the solenoid, and he wants $42.00 for it.He wants $52.50 for the regulator. His catalog doesn't state the manufacturer.I think Judd may be able to steer you in the direction of some better prices.
I had my generator rebuilt yesterday.I haven't put it back on yet,I hope I won't need a regulator.I asked the guy if he had any of the stuff you needed, but he was sorry that he did not.Talk with you later.
