    Historic car registration.. no inspection...
Although, at least for now, I intend t hook up a button to operate the horn by merely connecting the horn wire that previously was attached to the wire inside the steering column.

It may pop loose and be stopped by the nut from hitting you in the face. There is a cover at the bottom of the column with a wire plugged in to it held on by two screws, remove it and you'll see the plate and wire soldered to it.
I took my plate off but there is no wire soldered to it and It will not pull thru the column from the top. What should I do now?
    Thanks, Jerry

    the wire?under instrumentpanel?There is a plate whit a carbon,spring
to be connected to the wire from horn.but where is the cable connected?
