Thread: 1952 Steering trouble

    Question

Lately, the steering of my 52 Special has gotten pretty loose. There is a lot of play in the wheel before it actually starts turning. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to tighten the steering without replacing all of the bushings?
    Thanks

You need to have someone rock the steering back and forth through the loose area and follow down through the box and tie rods to find just where the problem lies. If it is in the box, you may just need adjustment.
