As an alternative to the prices I'm finding at the local shops, I've been searching up info on replacement convertible tops and carpet kits for my 1975 LeSabre Convertible. Are all such kits the same?
Are some better than others or more like the original equipment than others?
Any suggestions or recommendations appreciated!

Hello TT.
There are just three molded carpet companies in the country , and the carpet is comparable between all of them. One of the companies makes molded carpet with a thicker, tighter woven carpet called Essex at an additional charge. This would be similar to what is found in the Cadillacs and Lincolns.
Convertible tops come in different weights, but I have found that the standard weight is best for everyday use and the "double textured" heavy weight is best for show cars that normally leave their tops up. The difference between manufacturers is basically the fit and this makes a difference in how easy the top is to install. If you would like to discuss this further, please email or call me any time.
Best regards,
Ron
