here is an odd one for everyone. my vin number is production number X X X 4 4 4
    and my engine serial number is X X X 4 4 5
so my thought is, did someone find a replacement engine for my car and LUCKED out by being one number off next in line....or is this factory mishap....plus my firing order stamp on the intake is missing the FIVE, a blank spot where it should be stamped....? ? ?

food for thought here....any theroies on this??
    gary
ps : : it has been my experience that the engine serial number matched the vin number in the production number area...

regardless, you've already seen where your 5 got too, it's in your EIN now.
