Hey there everyone. I've posted a few questions in the past, but
it's been some time... hoping to get some advice from you guys once
again.

Anyway, I have a '62 Buick Skylark. It's got the T-10 transmission,
but it is a bit messed up. It keeps popping out of 2nd gear. And
often (about 50% of the time) when I shift from 1st to 2nd, it
doesn't slip into gear smoothly. I kind of have to jam it in (I
dont't think "jam" is the right word to use, it's a little too
strong. I don't have to use that much force, but it does resist a
little going into second sometimes).

So, I've been told by some that I should buy a rebuild kit for the t-
10. But I have been pondering the idea of putting a 5 speed tranny
in it. It would be great to have a lower 1st and an overdrive. I
talked to the guy I bought the car from originally, and he said that
he has a 5 speed tranny from a 1970's Monza that should match right
up. Does anyone else know about this? Or does anyone else know
about any other 5-speed tranny options I might look into?

Thanks for your help!!!
