Nick,
How about a 65-66 Nailhead ST 400 instead? The ST 400 is stronger then the TH 350, and about an inch longer. It can be built to use the switch pitch or a regular TH 400 converter. I think this would also be way cheaper. Stronger and cheaper, how can you loose? You would need: a bushing for the crank (Carmen Faso 716-693-4090) , a 64-66 Nailhead flexplate with the hole in machined to fit the earlier crank flange that is larger, to move or fabricate brackets to mount it, a ST 400 yoke and to size the drive shaft down to fit with the new yoke and trans. There are drive shaft shops that can cut yours down and re-balance it. Just a thought!
