I have a 1991 3.3 Buick Century which I thought had a 4T60 transmission. But I recently had my transmission serviced and it was labeled as a 44OT4. Is it the same thing as a 4T60?

More or less. The transmissions were all renamed in '93. They are basically the same transmission. Both transverse mounted 4 speed automatic, with the same torque capacity.
