I have a 1962 Invicta Estate Wagon with a 401 Nailhead & Dynaflow transmission. To make a very long story short (You'll have to wait for the book), My current engine, although it runs well, has a cracked block. I have run across a guy not to far from me who has a good running 401 Nailhead out of a 1961 Electra. I am wondering if there is a chance the 1961 motor will fit in my 1962? Any help on this subject greatly appreciated.

The same trans is on both engines. The only thing that may not be right is the pan. Make sure the oil pans have the sump in the same place (mid or rear). You can swap pans and pick-up tubes if the oil pump is the same. There was a change in oil pumps, but I think it was in 60.
